New Entertainment

Well, we went and got the baby gate and I've used it to block off the whole front of the house because Nathan likes to walk around the coffee table (lots of sharp corners) in the front room and climb up the stairs. The problem is that sometimes Cooper likes to go to the front room to get some peace and quiet from Nathan. So today when I gave her a bone to chew on and Nathan started chasing her around to take her bone away, I put her in the front room to be all by herself and enjoy her bone in peace. A little later on, this was the scene.

Walkin Fool...

Nathan is a walking fool these days. He loves to walk around the island.

This week we bought a baby gate and put locks on the cabinet doors....I'm sure Nathan will just find something else to get into.

And he's off......

Luke opening his father's day present.....Surprise!

Here, Nathan is showing that he's ready for our 4th of July trip in his star spangled trunks.

Well......I was sitting in the living room, talking to Kristin on the phone, and all of a sudden Nathan was full fledge walking across the room. Then a bit later he walked from the living room, past the stairs and into the dining room......guess it's time to go buy those baby gates.

Here Nathan is ready for our 4th of July trip with his star spangled swim trunks.

New Tricks

Here's a couple of Nathan's new tricks. He turned 10 months this weekend and is learning new things every day.

Walking....the dog gets in the way sometimes.

Nathan learned to wave this week and he's got a great wave.

What a fun week!

Grandma came to town this week and boy have we been busy.
This was our drive out to the mountains to visit Nick, Natalie and Baby Cayle. The Rocky Mountains are so beautiful!

We went to the Hot Springs in Glenwood. Have I mentioned that Nathan loves the water? He absolutely LOVES it. It helps that the water felt like a bath from the natural hot springs. He would have stayed in the pool all day.

Swimming with Aunt Cathy.

In the Hot Springs Pool with a view of the mountains. Doesn't get any better than this.

Lounging Poolside.

Did I mention he LOVES LOVES LOVES the water.

The Hilarity of Motherhood

One of the best things about being a mom is that you get to laugh out loud in the middle of the day.
I just happen to have my camera in my hand when Nathan started diving head first into his toy bin.

Nathan is very stealthy....he was able to sneak over to the dog's water bowl without my noticing.....now if I could just teach him to use a mop we'd be in business.

Nathan loves his cousins (And the rest of his family).

Nathan had quite a trip across IL this week.
Here he's in southern IL visiting the Home of Popeye and the wedding of Erin Crow!

Relaxing at Grandma's with Landon

Ridge and Grace came to visit....

Aunt Beth.....looks like Nathan needs a nap! All this travel is exhausting.

Not playing so nice with Ridge.

Grandma wanted a picture of Nathan with some Cubs gear.

Cousin Kinley....she's so sweet.

I had really thought that the boys wrestling wouldn't start quite this early. But boys will be boys.

Nathan with his Grandma Sandee and his new monkey.

Aunt Kelle with her two favorite nephews.

We even snuck in a very quick visit with some Texas friends in IL. Such a small world sometimes. I can't believe how big Miss Avery has gotten in a few short months.....and her baby brother Eli is so adorable.

With Uncle Matt.

Nathan and Cousin Ryan....watch out world....there's sure to be some trouble from these two. Amazing how much they grow in 9 short months. And Nathan better watch....the way cousin Ryan eats, he's going to get big quickly.

Our flight wasn't full, so we had an extra seat (very surprising that someone didn't sit in the row next to the baby....we thank God for small favors.) Nathan thought he was awfully cool getting his own seat and having a snack.

Such a big boy! Glad to be heading home....
